Hyderabad, Apr 6 (Reporter) Telangana Civil Supplies & Irrigation Minister Capt N Uttam Kumar Reddy accused former Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao (KCR) of deflecting blame onto the Congress for his missteps, in a scathing response to recent criticisms.
Addressing a press conference alongside Ministers Ponnam Prabhakar and Jupally Krishna Rao at Gandhi Bhavan on Saturday, Reddy condemned KCR's use of "filthy, foul, and unparliamentary language" against Congress leaders during a recent press meet in Sircilla.
Reddy highlighted KCR's alleged mismanagement of the irrigation department, attributing present drought conditions to his administration's failures. He dismissed KCR's accusations against the Congress, asserting that the BRS leader was attempting to cover up his shortcomings.
Refuting KCR's claims of improved water management during his visit to Suryapet, Reddy clarified that water releases were as per schedule and not influenced by any individual's visit.
The Ministers criticized KCR for redesigning the Dr. BR Ambedkar Pranahita Chevella Project initiated by the previous Congress regime into the costly Kaleshwaram Project, alleging mismanagement and failure across all aspects of the project.
Reddy accused KCR of provoking farmers with false information and neglecting Telangana's interests by allowing Andhra Pradesh to take more water from the Krishna River.
Ministers Ponnam Prabhakar and Jupalli Krishna Rao criticized KCR for targeting the Congress Government, emphasizing that the Congress came to power only four months ago, while BRS was in power for ten years. They accused KCR of betraying the people by not fulfilling the promises made in the 2014 and 2018 elections. Consequently, they stated that BRS was rejected by the people in the last Assembly elections and predicted that BRS would not win a single seat in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections...////...
