Karimnagar (Telangana), Mar 12 (Reporter) Bharat Rashtra Samiti (BRS) President and former Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) criticised the Congress government, accusing it of severe failures in the supply of fresh water, irrigation water, electricity, and the implementation of public welfare schemes.
Speaking at a public meeting titled "Kadana Bheri" in Karimnagar on Tuesday, KCR warned voters of the Congress party's negligence and arrogance, urging them to support BRS in the upcoming Lok Sabha election. He emphasisd that the stronger the pink flag flies in this election, the stronger the BRS party will fight on behalf of the people.
KCR expressed dissatisfaction with the current government's handling of water and electricity issues, pointing out problems in schemes like Mission Bhagiratha. He questioned the competency of the government in managing these schemes and criticized the Congress leaders for misleading the public with false promises.
The former Chief Minister reminded the audience of the successful agricultural policies and initiatives undertaken during his tenure, such as Rythu Bandhu, the first-of-its-kind scheme in India. He highlighted concerns about the current state of agriculture, electricity, and water supply, urging voters to consider the impact of their votes on the state's development.
KCR emphasised the strength of BRS as integral to Telangana's progress and urged the party to question and hold the government accountable.
