Hyderabad, May 28 (Reporter) Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) senior Vice- President G Niranjan stated that former DCP Task Force Radhakishan Rao, in his confession report, has revealed that phone tapping was conducted on the "instructions of former Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao (KCR) and former Minister Harish Rao". According to the former DCP Task Force, he knew the actions were illegal but followed orders. He disclosed that the phones of Revanth Reddy, his family members, some BJP leaders, and their own party leaders were tapped. To carry out this surveillance, spy cameras were procured from Delhi and chartered flights were arranged. Speaking to the media at Gandhi Bhavan on Tuesday, Niranjan stated this incident shows the similarity in how BRS and BJP misuse police and intelligence agencies. He compared the BJP's use of the CBI and ED to the BRS's use of the SIB and Task Force. He emphasized that KTR's role in this episode should also be investigated. "This is a serious issue, as it pertains to people's privacy," Niranjan said. He mentioned that the state government is investigating the matter and that officials abroad should be brought back. Some officers have already been arrested. Niranjan urged that the facts revealed by Radhakishan Rao be taken seriously and discussed in a special session of the Assembly.
