Mumbai, May 26 (Reporter) Maharashtra Governor Ramesh Bais made an appeal to Ramakrishna Mission, Mumbai to establish constructive cooperation with schools, go to schools and inculcate values, ethics and humanity among students.
Speaking at concluding ceremony of the year-long centenary celebration of Ramakrishna Math and Mission in western suburb of Khar on Saturday, he said that education without values only increases ego of the individual, therefore, it is necessary to add values, ethics and humanity to education.
Saying that Ramakrishna Mission founder Swami Vivekananda was a great supporter of women's empowerment, the Governor urged Ramakrishna Mission, Mumbai Centre to conduct skills development activities for poor and underprivileged women to make them self-reliant.
He asked the Mission to carry out activities related to skills development, sports development and overall personality development for youth of India.
Bais suggested that a plan should be implemented for empowerment of senior citizens and the disabled...////...
