Patna, Nov 30 (Reporter) Accusing his predecessors of not taking any step in the interest of the farmers, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said that his government has initiated several measures for the benefit and convenience of the farmers in the agriculture activities.
Kumar told newspersons here on Saturday that the farmers were getting benefits of several steps taken up by his government in the interest of the section.
Kumar said that his government launched agriculture road maps to increase the productivity of various crops, vegetables, and fruits. In addition to this, the production of milk, eggs, fish, and meat has also increased.
He said that Rs 1 lakh 62 thousand crore has been sanctioned for the overall development of the agriculture sector in the 4th agriculture road map (2023 - 2028).
Meanwhile, the Chief Minister also visited the 4-day agricultural equipment exhibition being attended by the agriculture equipment manufacturers of Delhi, Haryana, Gujarat, Chhattisgarh, Tamilnadu, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Punjab, Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh and West Bengal.
A subsidy of 80 percent was being given to the equipment used for agriculture residue management. The government has also initiated an agriculture equipment bank scheme and was providing subsidies up to Rs 10 lakh to the progressive farmers and Jeevika groups...////...
