Govt to provide affordable energy in 2 years in Maha: Fadnavis

Nagpur, Dec 25 (Reporter) Maharashtra Chief and Energy Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Wednesday promised a reduction in the power tariff in next two years which will be affordable for citizens as the state government has chalked out a comprehensive roadmap for the power sector for next 25 years. Addressing media persons at a ‘Meet the Press’ event held here, he said that the state government’s focus will be on transformation of Maharashtra through balanced development and growth of agriculture, industrial, infrastructure and social sectors. He also announced development for regions like Gadchiroli, Chandrapur, Gondia, Bhandara and Wardha, promising strong attention to infrastructure and industrial growth. “These areas will be key in driving Maharashtra’s progress and prosperity,” he said.
