Hyderabad, Jan 7 (Reporter) Former Minister and senior BRS leader Harish Rao has dismissed allegations linking T Rama Rao (KTR) to corruption in the Formula E case, calling it a political ploy by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy to divert attention from his failures. Speaking to the media at KTR’s residence in Banjara Hills on Tuesday, Harish Rao stated that Revanth Reddy was caught red-handed with bundles of cash in the past and went to jail, whereas KTR has worked tirelessly to enhance Hyderabad’s brand image by bringing the prestigious Formula E race to the city. Harish Rao criticised Revanth Reddy’s efforts to frame KTR with "illegal cases," asserting that the High Court verdict did not confirm any wrongdoing but merely called for an investigation. He emphasised that KTR has fully cooperated with the investigation and will continue to do so, including appearing before the ACB as per the notice. Harish Rao also accused Congress of abandoning promises like the farmers’ bond and facing public backlash, claiming that such cases against BRS leaders are distractions to cover up their failures. He reaffirmed the BRS party’s commitment to Telangana’s development and welfare, stating that they will not be deterred by politically motivated cases. “Our legal cell will review the High Court judgement, and we will decide on further legal action if needed.
