Hyderabad, Nov 16 (Reporter) To enhance fire safety awareness and preparedness, the Fire Services Department conducted an awareness programme for the Special Protection Force (SPF) personnel at the Telangana Secretariat on Saturday. The Telangana Secretariat, previously secured by the Telangana Special Police, is now under the protection of the SPF, which oversees its security. During the programme, G V Prasad, Assistant District Fire Officer, along with Janya and A Yadaiah, Station Fire Officers, provided detailed guidance on basic fire safety protocols and the use of fire extinguishers and fixed fire installations. The fire officials also briefed the SPF personnel on fire evacuation procedures, fire prevention techniques, and rescue methods. A live demonstration was conducted using a BRONTO Sky Lift (BSL), showcasing terrace rescue operations. Additionally, the two-person rescue method, including breathing exercises and artificial respiration techniques, was explained.
