Hyderabad, Apr 21 (Reporter) Union Minister and BJP Telangana President G Kishan Reddy asserted on Sunday that the party is committed to rectifying the injustices, irregularities, corruption, and nepotism perpetrated by the Congress party over the past 70 years across the nation. Addressing the media after launching the BJP's election manifesto in Telugu at the party's state headquarters, Reddy highlighted the vision of the 'Modi Guarantee,' aiming to build a prosperous India by 2047. He emphasized the achievements of the Modi-led government, citing a stable administration after three decades, a reduction in terrorist attacks, and a crackdown on corruption. Reddy outlined various initiatives aimed at different segments of society, including provisions for the poor, women empowerment, youth employment, and support for farmers, fishermen, and workers. He also emphasized the party's commitment to good governance, proposing the implementation of a Uniform Civil Code and simultaneous elections across the country. The manifesto underscores the BJP's agenda for comprehensive development, focusing on economic growth, infrastructure enhancement, energy independence, and national security. Speaking on the occasion, Dr K Laxman, the National President of the BJP OBC Morcha and a Rajya Sabha Member emphasized the stark differences between the manifestos introduced by the two national parties in light of the parliamentary elections. He characterized the Congress party's manifesto as a mere legal document, perceived by the public as unjust and synonymous with Rahul Gandhi's agenda. In contrast, the manifesto presented by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), under the leadership of Narendra Modi, was viewed as a guarantee by the people. Dr Laxman accused the Congress of engaging in divisive politics, aiming to fragment India along caste, religious, and regional lines to garner political advantage. He labeled Rahul Gandhi's manifesto as a testament to vote bank politics. In contrast, he hailed Modi's manifesto as a resolution document, aspiring for a developed and united India, while addressing the aspirations of its citizens, particularly the underprivileged. Dr Laxman underscored the BJP's commitment to fostering a prosperous India, contrasting it with the Congress's alleged conspiracies for a fragmented nation. He criticized the UPA regime for corruption, citing a staggering Rs 12 lakh crores looted during their tenure. He cautioned against what he termed as the rebranded UPA, now known as the I.N.D.I.A alliance, accusing them of perpetuating family politics. Highlighting Modi's leadership during the COVID-19 crisis, Dr Laxman commended the government's allocation of Rs 10 lakh crores towards infrastructure and job creation. He likened the Congress's legislative approach to the divisive tactics of the British era, drawing parallels between the Congress Manifesto and the Muslim League Manifesto, both allegedly exploiting caste, religion, and regional sentiments for electoral gains. Dr Laxman reiterated the BJP's commitment to Modi's vision of 'Sab Ka Sath, Sab Ka Vikas,' promising to uphold the welfare and development agenda for all segments of society.
