Mumbai, Aug 16 (Reporter) Breaking his silence on the Waqf (Amendment) Bill, 2024, Shiv Sena (UBT) supremo Uddhav Thackeray on Friday promised that he wouldn't allow anyone to touch any religious property including those of the Waqf Board or temples. "I am announcing that be it Waqf Board or any temple or other religious property, I will not let anyone touch those properties at any cost. This is my promise," the former Maharashtra Chief Minister said at a meeting of the Maha Vikas Aghadi here. He also referred to Shankaracharya Swami Avimukteshwaranand's allegations that over 200 kg of gold was stolen from Kedarnath and said it needs to be investigated. Targeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the Waqf bill, he wondered why it was not passed when the BJP had an absolute majority (after the 2014 and 2019 Lok Sabha elections)...////...
