INDI alliance should support AAP in Delhi Assembly election: Sharad Pawar

Mumbai, Jan 14 (Reporter) Nationalist Congress Party (SP) Chief Sharad Pawar on Tuesday said that the "INDI alliance' should support Aam Aadmi Party and Arvind Kejriwal in the Delhi assembly election. However, he said, that INDI alliance is only focused on national-level polls. Talking to media persons, Pawar said that "There has never been any discussion on state and local elections within the INDI alliance. The INDI alliance is solely for national-level elections. When asked about the upcoming Municipal elections in Maharashtra, he said everyone (Opposition parties in the state ) will decide within 8-10 days, through a meeting, whether we will contest together or independently." Pawar's statement comes days after Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut announced on Saturday that his party would contest the local body elections independently. "Uddhavji Thackeray has given us a clear indication. From Mumbai to Nagpur, we will contest local self-government elections on our own strength.
