Bhubaneswar, May 4 (Reporter) Union External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar stated on Saturday that he is yet to receive details on three Indian nationals arrested by Canadian police for their alleged involvement in the killing of Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar. Jaishankar, who arrived in Bhubaneswar for a two-day visit to Odisha, mentioned, 'I have just learned about the report, but I don’t have details,' he said while interacting with media persons. He emphasized the need for more information and evidence in such instances, expressing concern over Canada's alleged allowance of criminals to operate within its borders, providing them with visas and political space. Jaishankar claimed that India has shared details of 25 Khalistani operators and requested their extradition, but Canada has not responded. Regarding the China issue, Jaishankar mentioned the existence of six detailed agreements on border management. However, he criticized China's unilateral troop mobilization in 2020, leading to a standoff between the two countries. India, he noted, insists that any discussions should include border issues alongside trade and commerce matters. Refusing to comment on US President Joe Biden's remark about India being xenophobic, Jaishankar also refrained from addressing Imran Khan's statement regarding India's alleged involvement in certain deaths in Pakistan, stating he had not read the statement. However, he urged Pakistan to explain why numerous terrorists are residing within its borders.
