Patna, July 20 (Reporter) After recent increase in crime graph and particularly the murder of father of VIP Chief Mukesh Sahni, INDIA bloc leaders on Saturday took out a state-wide protest march over the collapse of law and order in Bihar and demanded adequate measures for safety and security of life and property of the people. Leaders and workers of RJD, Congress, CPI, CPI(M), CPI(ML) and VIP staged statewide protest march against the failure of law and order in the state. In Patna, protest march passed through Income Tax office, Dakbunhalow crossing and Fraser road before submitting a memorandum to District Magistrate at collectorate office, presently functioning in "Hindi Bhawan". Leaders raised anti-government slogans to vent their anger over the collapse of law and order in Bihar. They alleged that crime graph had increased alarmingly in recent past and no one was feeling safe and secured in the state. " If Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar does not take concrete steps to protect life and property of people of the state, we will force him to resign as CM", the leaders said adding that recent murder of Jeetan Sahni, father of VIP chief Mukesh Sahni in Darbhanga was most unfortunate. It reflected the sorry state of law and order in Bihar as Sahni was killed while he was sleeping in his house, they pointed out. INDIA bloc leaders alleged that Nitish Kumar government was misusing police to suppress the voice of opposition. Despite autocratic attitude of Nitish Kumar government, opposition parties would continue to raise the issues of public interest without any fear, they asserted. Leaders of INDIA bloc who participated in protest march in Patna were senior RJD leaders Jaiprakash Narayan Yadav, Bhola Yadav, Dr Tanveer Hasan, Munni Rajak and Mritunjay Tiwary, CPI(ML) leaders Mehboob Alam, Satyadeo Ram, Gopal Ravidas and Shashi Yadav, leader of Congress legislature party in Assembly Shakeel Ahmed Khan, Ram Lala Singh of CPI, Sarvodaya Sharma Sharma of CPI-M, Arjun Sahni of VIP and others. Similar protests were also organised at all district headquarters of the state. Memorandums addressed to Bihar Governor, were submitted to District Magistrates concerned, urging him for immediate intervention in prevailing lawlessness in the state to improve the scenario, for protection of life and property of the people...////...
