Chhapra, May 13 (Reporter) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday claimed that the INDIA bloc leaders were toying with the idea of having rotational Prime Minister as they while their time in “Mungeri Lal ke (haseen) Sapne” (daydream) of coming to power at the centre after the Lok Sabha polls.
Accusing the Congress-led INDIA Bloc leaders of “letting down” the aspirations of the people of India, Modi said they were “daydreaming” and would never come to power at the Centre again.
Addressing a rally in favour of the BJP candidate in Bihar’s Chhapra, Modi said "INDIA bloc leaders are having Mungeri Lal ke Sapne (daydream) of coming to power at the Centre ".
"They are also toying with an idea of rotational Prime Minister having tenure of one year each " , claimed Modi, adding that it means they will have five Prime Ministers in five years which would not be in the interest of the country.
Dubbing the INDIA bloc as "Bhanumati ka Kunba (Bhanu Mark's clan)", Modi claimed that "they would never come together"
Modi said in Bihar Congress and RJD were struggling for their survival and suggested RJD to seek votes on its achievements and not on the work done by the Nitish government.
RJD had a legacy of ' jungle rule ' which unleashed an era of kidnapping, murder and scams during its regime in Bihar, Modi said and told RJD to show all these activities on banners and hoardings while seeking votes.
He alleged that Congress left the poor to starve and the economy slipped from bad to worse during its regime. Congress and RJD leaders, instead of caring for the poor, filled their own coffers by committing various scams, he alleged.
Modi claimed that it was he who ensured that no poor should ever sleep with an empty stomach and made arrangements so that the poor people could get food continuously. Eighty crore people of the country were getting free ration every month, Modi said adding that it was he who guaranteed pucca house to the homeless people.
"I have experienced poverty and lived in it and I do not need any delegation to understand these issues", Modi said adding that in all of his development schemes, these issues are at the centre point.
The PM said that the credibility and prestige of India had increased globally and the election was being held for its progress and to establish its strength in the world.
Claiming himself to be a sevak ( servant) of the people, Modi said he was on duty 24 hours everyday to attain the dreams of the people by 2047.
"I am discharging my responsibilities conferred upon me by the people with honesty and also giving my performance report card of the past 10 years", Modi said adding that the country's progress in the last ten years was more than it developed during the 60-year rule of Congress...////...
