Baharampur, Apr 28 (Reporter) BJP National President Jagat Prasad Nadda on Sunday accused the Congress and the TMC of being soft on terrorism to satisfy the minority and depriving the rights of Dalits, Adivasis and other backward people of the country. Addressing an election meeting in favor of BJP candidate and medic Nirmal Kumar Saha at the Baharampur Lok Sabha seat, Nadda alleged that the state hit rock bottom of development owing to rampant corruption in all sections of the society, be it education, ration, and so on. Nadda pointed out that cut money has crept into every aspect of the scheme, even for the alleviation of poverty in the state, and alleged that the utilisation of certificates was not provided by the state government even after the Centre increased fund much more than the state used to get during the UPA regime. He also accused the TMC government of hindering the Kishan Bhuktan Yojna in the state, which provides direct monetary assistance to nearly 70 lakh farmers in Bengal. The BJP President said the people of the state voted Mamata Banerjee on Ma Mati Manush slogans, which have now been forgotten for the past decade and "mothers and sisters are being tortured, Mati is being grabbed and Manus has been threatened with intimidation by the TMC cadres." "The TMC has caused immense hardship to people due to numerous scandals for which the Ministers are being jailed for hoarding public money from scams, "Nadda said. He urged the people to give a real lesson to the TMC in the current Lok Sabha poll and root out the ruling party in the 2026 assembly election to strengthen the hands of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and get all the central schemes uninterrupted in the coming future. He said there was a saying " What Bengal Thinks Today India Thinks Tomorrow," and now the state lagged much behind owing to mal-governance for many decades. ' We speak about a 'majboot Sarkar' but Mamata Banerjee wants a 'Majboor Sarkar', " Nadda said and pointed out that the UPA government had invited terrorists from J & K and discussed it in Parliament. He said the Modi government was making an effort to Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas and abrogated Article 370 in J & K. The NDA government was providing a free ration of 5 kgs of rice, as much wheat, and 1 kg of dal and it would continue for the next five years. He said Bengal's six crore people have received such free ration...////...
