Hyderabad, Sep 28 (Reporter) BJP National President and Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare, J P Nadda, has directed the newly elected MPs and MLAs to focus on addressing public issues and work diligently for the welfare of the people. During his visit to Telangana on Saturday evening, Nadda participated in a meeting with newly elected MPs and MLAs at Haritha Tourism Plaza. Addressing the gathering, Nadda emphasised the need to adhere to the party’s principles and decisions. He warned that there is no place for factional politics within the party. Nadda urged the leaders to work in coordination, keeping in mind the upcoming elections, and to concentrate on increasing the party’s membership in Telangana. He set a target of 50 lakh new members and encouraged the leaders to exceed this goal. He added that membership registration should be carried out without any internal differences, stressing that those who achieve the highest membership numbers will be rewarded with posts within the party. The BJP President also reviewed the current political scenario in the state and discussed strategies for strengthening the party’s presence. State membership in-charge Arvind Menon, Organisational State Chief Secretary Chandrasekhar Tiwari, Bandi Sanjay, and MPs Laxman, Maheshwar Reddy, Payal Shankar, and Kattipalli Venkata Ramana Reddy were present at the meeting. During the discussion, MP Etala Rajender expressed his concerns about the membership registration program, stating that it was unreasonable to set a strict deadline for the completion of the registration drive. He opined that setting time-bound targets could lead to undue pressure on the party cadre.
