Mumbai, Apr 3 (Reporter) In a major setback to BJP ahead of Lok Sabha elections, its sitting MP from Jalgaon Unmesh Patil, who was denied the party ticket for upcoming polls, joined the Shiv Sena (UBT) along with his followers at Matoshri, the residence of Sena president Uddhav Thackeray, here on Wednesday. Party chief and former state chief minister Uddhav Thackeray, Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Raut were present on this occasion. Instead of Patil, BJP has fielded Smita Wagh from the Jalgaon parliamentary constituency. Upset over this development, Patil met Raut here on Tuesday, sparking speculations about his future political move. In 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Patil had won the seat with the margin of over four lakh votes. After Patil's entry into Sena (UBT), Raut expressed that the prospects of their party in Jalgaon and in other parts of north Maharashtra will improve and make its path to victory easier...////...
