JD(U) candidate Kaladhar Mandal leading in Rupauli

Patna, July 13 (Reporter) JD(U) candidate Kaladhar Mandal is leading by a margin of more than 5,500 votes over his nearest rival Shankar Singh, an Independent while RJD candidate Beema Bharti is at third position in Rupali assembly seat in Bihar where polling for by-election was held on July 10. According to office of Chief Electoral Officer (CEO), as per latest trend Kaladhar Mandal has got 12,132 votes while Independent candidate Shankar Singh has got 6,573 votes. Mandal is leading over Singh by a margin of 5,559 votes. In a major setback to RJD, its candidate Beema Bharti is trailing far behind from JD(U) candidate Mandal and she is at third position. Bharti has secured only 6,365 votes. She is trailing behind Mandal by a margin of 5,767 votes. Counting of votes had begun at 8 AM amid tight security arrangements. Polling for by-election to Rupali assembly seat was held on July 10. The seat had fallen vacant after resignation of Bharti who was sitting MLA of JD(U) from Rupali. She had resigned from JD(U) and also from membership of assembly to contest on RJD ticket from Purnea seat in Lok Sabha elections held recently but suffered defeat...////...
