Patna, Dec 8 (Reporter) JD(U)Working President Sanjay Jha on Sunday demanded the Narendra Modi government to felicitate Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar with Bharat Ratna award for his immense contribution to the development of the state.
" Chief Minister Kumar should be felicitated with Bharat Ratna award by the Government of India for his immense contribution to Bihar in all sectors ", he said. Even any award higher than "Bharat Ratna" could be given to Kumar, he noted.
Jha told media persons in Purnea that the contribution of Chief Minister Kumar in bringing back Bihar on track of development was immense.
Leading already a well governed state was an easy task but bringing back a failed state like Bihar on the path of development and progress, was a herculean task that was accomplished by Chief Minister Kumar, he emphasised.

JD(U) leader also made a veiled attack on RJD saying it was known to all how law and order had collapsed during its regime in Bihar from 1990 to 2005. Doctors, businessmen, professionals, and industrialists had left Bihar during the RJD regime due to fears of being kidnapped by criminals getting patronage from ruling party leaders, he alleged.
Jha also pointed out that the foundation stone of All India Institute of Medical Sciences(AIIMS) was recently laid in Darbhanga by Prime Minister Narendra Modi which reflected the commitment of Centre and Nitish Kumar government towards all-round development of the state.
