Chennai, June 10 (Reporter) In a major elevation, senior leader Ms Kanimozhi Karunanidhi will be the face of the DMK and was on Monday night appointed as the DMK Parliamentary Party leader for both Houses. This was announced by Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and DMK President M.K.Stalin in a statement after a meeting of the party MPs. Daughter of late DMK patriarch M Karunanidhi and Mr Stalin's sister, Ms Kanimozhi, who is also the DMK Deputy General Secretary, was elected from Thoothukudi seat for a second successive term, and will be the DMK leader in both Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha. This was seen as a major elevation for Ms Kanimozhi and was yet another proof of her rising stature after having been made elevated as the Deputy General Secretary of DMK. Party leaders said Ms Kanimozhi, who had been articulating her views in Parliament in a strong manner raising issues concerning the State, will further strengthen the DMK's voice in both Houses of Parliament as the party PP leader.
