Bengaluru, June 1 (Reporter) Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar has expressed his skepticism towards exit polls, confidently predicting that the Congress party will secure a significant number of seats in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Addressing reporters on Saturday, Shivakumar flayed the methodology of exit polls, arguing that they often rely on insufficient sample sizes, which can lead to inaccurate predictions. Despite early exit polls indicating a comfortable majority for the BJP-led NDA, including a potential sweep in Karnataka, the Congress party remains optimistic. Both Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Karnataka Congress President Shivakumar have consistently projected that the party will win 15-20 out of the 28 seats available in the state. Shivakumar emphasised that the INDIA bloc is poised to take control, countering predictions of poor performance.
