Karnataka leaders mourn death of SM Krishna

Bengaluru, Dec 10 (Reporter) Political leaders from across Karnataka paid condolences to former Chief Minister SM Krishna, who passed away early morning on Tuesday. A visionary leader and statesman, Krishna's contributions to the state and nation were fondly remembered by his contemporaries and successors. Expressing his grief, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said, "Saddened by the demise of former Chief Minister Shri SM Krishna. His unparalleled contributions as a Union Minister, Chief Minister, and leader have left an indelible mark." "Karnataka will forever remain indebted to him, especially for his visionary leadership in transforming the IT-BT sector during his tenure as Chief Minister. May his soul rest in peace," he stated. Former Chief Minister and BJP stalwart BS Yediyurappa also mourned Krishna’s demise, describing it as a personal loss. A true statesman and stalwart, his invaluable contributions to our nation and Karnataka will forever be remembered. I feel a sense of deep personal loss. Janata Dal (Secular) leader HD Kumaraswamy expressed his sorrow, saying, "Hearing the news of the passing of Shri SM Krishna avaru, a senior statesman and a visionary leader who served the state and the nation with distinction in several high positions such as Speaker of the State Assembly, Deputy Chief Minister, Chief Minister, Union Minister, and Governor, brings immense sorrow."
