A visionary leader and statesman, Krishna's contributions to the state and nation were fondly remembered by his contemporaries and successors. Expressing his grief, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said, "Saddened by the demise of former Chief Minister Shri SM Krishna.
