Bengaluru, May 14 (Reporter) BJP leader and former Karnataka Minister R Ashoka on Tuesday came down heavily on the state's Congress government for "financial management", alleging that "reckless borrowing" and "unscientific policies" were pushing the state to the brink of bankruptcy.
Ashoka claimed the state government is struggling to even pay salaries to its employees, given the depleted funds.
"CM Siddaramaiah has been a disaster for Karnataka and development has come to a grinding halt in the state due to his blunders and mismanagement in the last year," Ashoka wrote on his X handle.
He blamed Siddaramaiah for the current financial crisis and asserted that his policies have led to a "precarious" financial situation, adversely affecting the state’s economic stability and growth prospects.
"The reckless borrowing and unscientific policies of Congress government have pushed Karnataka into the brink of bankruptcy, leaving no funds to even pay salaries for government employees," he said.
