Kannur, Apr 5 (Reporter) A 26-year-old CPI (M) worker was killed and three others injured after a bomb explosion while making country-made bombs at Muliyathode near Panoor on Friday. Two bombs and explosive materials were seized by the police in the raid following the incident. The bomb squad defused the bombs in evening. According to police, the deceased was identified as Sherin (26) of Puthoor, who sustained injuries on the face and chest and succumbed to his injuries in a private hospital at Kozhikode. Vineesh, who lost both palms, has been undergoing medical treatment at a ventilator in a private hospital in Kozhikode. Two others, Aswanth and Vinod, were injured in the explosion, and they were admitted to hospitals at Thalassery and Pariyaram. The incident occurred around 0100 a.m. when they were engaged to make crude bombs from the terrace of an abandoned house of one Manoharan at Mulayanthode-Chandayad,near the house of Vineesh (24).
