Thrissur, Jan 27 (Reporter) The first Edition of International Literary Festival of Kerala, organised by the Kerala Sahitya Academy, will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan here on Sunday.
"This edition of Literary Festival is first of its kind, organised by the Academy, in terms of sessions and participants and writers.'
We have 107 sessions and around 500 speakers, including from Palestine, Israel, Poland, England and Latin America", Academy President K Sachidanandan said.
The Festival would be held in four venues im Academy premises and one in nearby Town Hall.
More than 100 publishers have set up their stalls in the Town Hall premises.
Besides literature and books, the festival includes sessions on diverse topics such as women, queer issue, cinema, constitution, religion and caste.
From January 29 till February 3, renowned Malayalam writers like M T Vasudevan Nair, M K Sanu, M Mukundan, T Padmanabhan, Ashok Vajpayee, T M Krishna, Sara Joseph will preside over various sessions on different topics.
Cultural programmes, like Kathakali and Carnatic vocal by T M Krishna, drama and dance will enthrall the audience.
