Kozhikode, Nov 21 (Reporter) Noted Malayalam cine and television serial artist Meghanathan died, where he was undergoing treatment for a lung-related illness at a private hospital in Kozhikode, on Thursday.
He was 60 and survived by his wife Susmitha and one daughter Parvathi.
Meghanathan is the third son of renowned film actors Balan K Nair and Saradha Nair.
His debut film was Ashtram in 1983, directed by P N Menon, and he acted in over 50 films within a span of 49 years, including Tamil cinemas.
He was acclaimed for his villain and character roles in movies Panchagni, Chenkol, Chamayam, Ee Puzhayum Kadannu, Udhyanapalakan. His last film was Kooman in 2022, starring Asaf Ali and directed by Jeethu Joseph.
The mortal remains will be kept at his house at Vadanamkurussi near Shoranur up to the afternoon hours to pay last rites to his friends and relatives and people from all walks of life and the funeral function will be taken place at his house premises in the evening, family sources said...////...
