Kishan Reddy accuses Congress of betraying people in Telangana and misleading Maharashtra

Mumbai/Hyderabad, Nov 12 (Reporter) Union Coal and Mines Minister and Telangana BJP President G Kishan Reddy launched a strong critique against the Congress-led government in Telangana, accusing it of betraying the people through false promises. Speaking to media in Mumbai on Tuesday, Reddy targeted Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and Congress leaders, alleging widespread neglect of commitments and misuse of power. Reddy, addressing the people of Maharashtra during the Congress’ campaign efforts in the state, claimed that Congress leaders were attempting to deceive Maharashtra in the same way as Telangana. He said, "As the BJP state President, I’m here to inform Maharashtra people about how Congress has failed in Telangana by promising six main guarantees and hundreds of sub-guarantees, of which 99 percent are yet to see any action." He elaborated on his concerns, citing unfulfilled promises in Congress' manifesto, including the Mahalakshmi scheme for women, youth educational support, and farmers' bonuses. Reddy claimed that schemes like a monthly pension of Rs 4,000 for disabled individuals and labourers have not materialized, and financial assistance for farmers under the Rythu Bharosa program remains undelivered. He further accused the Telangana Congress government of financial mismanagement, stating that the state has amassed significant debt and is diverting funds to other states to influence elections. Reddy challenged Congress leaders, including Rahul Gandhi, to debate the state’s alleged progress at the Mumbai Press Club, emphasizing that “the people of Maharashtra should not be misled by Congress' empty assurances." Reddy’s address comes amid heightened political tensions as Congress continues to promote its programs in Telangana and Maharashtra.
