Hyderabad, Feb 11 () Union Minister and Telangana BJP President G. Kishan Reddy criticized the absence of basic facilities in government schools within the city.
He pointed out that despite the funds provided by the Center for Infrastructure Development in government buildings, the previous BRS government diverted those funds.
On Sunday, Kishan Reddy visited the areas of the Sanath Nagar Assembly Constituency, including Monda Market, RamgopalPet, Begumpet, and Ameerpet Division in Secunderabad Constituency.
During his visit, he expressed concern over the decreasing education budget in Telangana, highlighting the plight of students facing a lack of basic amenities.
Kishan Reddy stated that students are falling ill daily due to drinking contaminated water and consuming food in hostels.
Criticizing Congress leaders, he urged them to move beyond mere words and allocate sufficient funds to improve the education system.
He advised the proper utilization of central government funds for mid-day meals, students, and their uniforms.
While noting the central government's sanction of a hostel for minority students in Hyderabad, Kishan Reddy criticized the state government for not allotting land for three years. He disclosed that funds were sanctioned for approximately 23 hostels by the central government.
Expressing disappointment with the previous government's handling of central funds, Kishan Reddy doubted any positive change under the current Congress government.
He accused the Congress party of being entangled in corruption and dynastic politics, asserting that the budget did not offer anything substantial for the poor...////...
