Hyderabad, May 5 (Reporter) Union Minister and BJP candidate from Secunderabad, G Kishan Reddy, reiterated Prime Minister Narendra Modi's aspiration for India to achieve developed country status by 2047.
Addressing the "Meet the Press" program organized by the Telangana Working Journalists Union at Basheerbagh on Sunday, Reddy highlighted the strides made under Modi's leadership.
He pointed out the eradication of several scams that occurred during the Congress regime, attributing the people's mandate for Modi in 2014 to the desire for a corruption-free nation.
During the BJP-led NDA government's tenure under Modi's leadership, various issues, including injustices, irregularities, corruption, and nepotism, were addressed, Reddy stated. He emphasized the period's tranquility, citing the absence of communal clashes and terrorist activities.
Under Modi's leadership, India has gained international recognition, with significant achievements such as the construction of national highways meeting global standards, substantial investments in infrastructure, and the nation's elevation to the fifth-largest economy globally.
Reddy also highlighted initiatives like free ration distribution to 83 crore people, the construction of 13 crore toilets, and plans to modernize infrastructure such as the Secunderabad Railway Station.
Reddy emphasized the role of youth in India's progress and urged all to support the BJP led by Modi. He addressed concerns regarding reservations, affirming the party's commitment to social justice and economic development. Reddy extended an invitation to opposition leaders and workers, encouraging them to join the BJP for the country's and Telangana's advancement.
On regional issues, Reddy clarified the BJP's stance, stating that the party has no intention of destabilizing the Congress government and dismissing speculation about making Hyderabad a Union Territory...////...
