Hyderabad/New Delhi, May 15 (Reporter) Union Minister and Telangana BJP President G Kishan Reddy expressed confidence in the BJP's performance in the general election held on May 13, foreseeing significant success for the party in Telangana. Addressing the media in New Delhi on Wednesday, Reddy remarked on the positive feedback received regarding the conduct of the elections, indicating promising outcomes for the BJP. He asserted that despite attempts by Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy to discredit the BJP through false campaigns on issues such as reservations, the people of Telangana remained steadfast in their support. Reddy highlighted the influence of Prime Minister Modi, noting that his leadership resonated strongly in Telangana villages, leading to widespread support for the BJP. He emphasised the unity among various demographic groups in rural areas who rallied behind Modi and the BJP's symbol, the lotus. The BJP leader dismissed opposition attempts to undermine the party's credibility, particularly on issues like reservation, reaffirming Modi's commitment to upholding reservation policies. He attributed the BJP's success to widespread community support, including from those benefiting from reservation policies. Reddy criticised Revanth Reddy, alleging personal attacks on Modi and diversion from substantive issues. He emphasised the BJP's focus on implementing promised policies and urged the CM to prioritise the state's economic welfare. Reddy announced expectations of double-digit seat gains for the BJP, heralding a new era in the state's political landscape.
