Bengaluru, Jan 19 (Reporter) The Karnataka State Natural Disaster Management Centre (KSNDMC) has forecast scattered moderate rain in the southern interior, coastal, and hilly districts of Karnataka.
The northern interior districts, however, are likely to experience dry air conditions. "There will be moderate to heavy fog over the state and scattered showers," KSNDMC said in a statement.
Meanwhile, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) reported that minimum temperatures across the country have shown significant variations. "Minimum temperatures are markedly above normal (5°C or more) at a few places over Gujarat region and appreciably above normal (3°C to 5°C) at many places over West Rajasthan, East Rajasthan, West Madhya Pradesh, Saurashtra and Kutch, Coastal Karnataka, and Kerala and Mahe," IMD stated.
The IMD added that temperatures are above normal (1°C to 3°C) in Punjab, Assam and Meghalaya, Haryana, Chandigarh-Delhi, Konkan & Goa, South Interior Karnataka, and Rayalaseema, among other regions. However, isolated areas in Chhattisgarh are experiencing below-normal temperatures (-1°C to -3°C), while other parts of the country remain near normal.
The prevailing weather patterns suggest a blend of wet and dry conditions, with regional disparities in temperature trends continuing to influence the overall climate across India...////...
