Bengaluru, May 14 (Reporter) Amid a volatile political environment, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar on Tuesday firmly asserted the stability of the Congress government, dismissing any threats posed by Operation 'Kamala'.
Their strong stance comes amid growing speculations and parallels drawn with the political turmoil in Maharashtra.
During the submission of nomination papers for Congress candidates in the Legislative Council elections in Shantinagar, CM Siddaramaiah categorically dismissed any notion of vulnerability within his government.
"Our government cannot be overthrown through Operation Kamala under any circumstances," he declared.
Siddaramaiah emphasized the commitment of their MLAs, pointing out the futility of previous attempts to destabilise the government. "They have attempted this over the past year and failed. Why would they try again now?" he added.
Echoing Siddaramaiah’s confidence, Shivakumar expressed doubt over the future stability of the Maharashtra government.
"It is uncertain whether the Maharashtra government will endure," he remarked, noting the shifting allegiances among MLAs in Maharashtra.
"MLAs there are reversing their positions. Members of NCP and Shiv Sena are returning. After the Lok Sabha elections, the government will collapse," Shivakumar predicted...////...
