Bengaluru, June 21 (Reporter) In a move to meet the burgeoning demands of Bengaluru, Karnataka Industries Minister MB Patil on Friday said he has initiated discussions with top officials from the infrastructure sector regarding the construction of a second airport for the city. The discussions, held on Thursday, included key figures such as N Manjula, Secretary of the Infrastructure Development Department, BC Satish, Managing Director of Karnataka Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation, and DP Prakash, Executive Director, among others. Minister Patil, in a statement, underscored the imperative of preparing for the future needs of Bengaluru, a rapidly growing global metropolis. He instructed officials to conduct a feasibility study and submit a comprehensive report on the viability of establishing a new airport in the city.
