Hyderabad, Feb 10 (Reporter) BRS Working President K. Taraka Rama Rao (KTR) has strongly condemned the attack on Chilkur Balaji Temple Chief Priest CS Rangarajan, describing it as a reflection of the deteriorating law and order situation in the state. KTR on Monday visited the injured priest and assured full support from the BRS party. Expressing his outrage over the incident, KTR stated that the attack on Rangarajan was a heinous act and an insult to the divine service rendered by the temple priest. He emphasised that such incidents pose a severe threat to peace and security in Telangana. "The attack on Rangarajan is the most vile and deplorable act. No matter who is behind it, under what pretence or agenda, it is the state government's duty to take stringent action against them," KTR asserted. He further added that the plight of Soundaryajan’s family, which has dedicated itself to the service of God, reflects the precarious state of peace in Telangana. KTR demanded that those responsible for the attack be punished with the full force of the law, irrespective of their affiliations or motives. "Strict action must be taken to ensure such incidents do not recur. Additionally, adequate security should be provided to Rangarajan’s family," he urged. KTR highlighted that Chilkur Balaji Temple priests, including Soundarya Rajan’s family, have a massive following across the world. He stressed that attacking them is tantamount to insulting millions of devotees and, by extension, an affront to God Himself. "On behalf of the BRS party, we extend our complete support to Soundarya Rajan’s family and Rangarajan. Justice must prevail, and the culprits must face the strictest punishment," he added. Former minister Sabitha Indrareddy and among others were also present on the occasion.
