Hyderabad, Jan 27 (Reporter) Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) Working President K T Rama Rao (KTR) highlighted the progress achieved in Telangana’s education sector during a decade of BRS governance, while criticising the Congress party for failing to deliver on its promises.
Speaking at Telangana Bhavan on Monday after unveiling the Student Wing’s New Year diary and calendar, KTR detailed various initiatives undertaken by the state government to strengthen education infrastructure.
KTR noted that the number of Gurukul schools had increased from 294 to over 1,000, catering to more students across the state. He also pointed out that five new medical colleges and one medical and nursing college per district had been established, alongside the creation of a Forest University and a Women’s University.
Additionally, he highlighted the “ Mana Uru Mana Badi” program, which allocated Rs 7,400 crore to upgrade infrastructure in government schools, underscoring the BRS government’s commitment to education.
The minister accused the Congress of making empty promises and spreading false propaganda. He criticized the party for failing to fulfill its pledge to create two lakh government jobs even after 400 days, alleging that the Congress misled the public with “420 fake promises.”
KTR asserted that the BRS government, in contrast, has successfully filled over 1.6 lakh government jobs, averaging 16,000 annually, and continues to focus on delivering tangible results.
Aiming at Congress leaders, including Rahul Gandhi and Telangana PCC Chief Revanth Reddy, KTR accused them of making baseless claims about investments and job creation.
He questioned their ability to deliver Rs 40,000 crore in investments or meaningful employment opportunities and urged the student wing to expose the Congress’ failures and misinformation at the grassroots level.
KTR reaffirmed the BRS government’s dedication to Telangana’s development, emphasizing that the welfare of the people remains a priority. He called on students to counter the opposition’s misinformation campaigns and support the government’s efforts to ensure progress and prosperity for the state...////...
