Patna, Oct 6 (Reporter) RJD Chief Lalu Prasad Yadav accused the Union government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi of destroying the Railways.
Through a post on his social media account on Sunday, Yadav alleged that the Railways exploited the common people and pushed them to heavy losses during the 10-year rule of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Yadav explained how the Railway services and facilities became difficult for the common people during the last ten years.
Yadav alleged that the NDA government led by Modi enhanced the train fare and cost of platform tickets. The government sold the stations and reduced the number of general bogies, he alleged. The benefits given to the old age people scrapped, he said adding that train accidents have increased. Now the government may sell the Railway tracks, he said.
During his tenure as Railway Minister from 2004 to 2009 Yadav introduced air-conditioned and affordable Garib Rath trains and had not increased the train fare. During his tenure the railway had earned record benefits, claimed Yadav terming his regime as the Golden Era of Railways.
Yadav was accusing the union government of the changes it had introduced in the Railways...////...
