Patna, Jan 4 (Reporter) RJD Chief Lalu Prasad Yadav has convened the party's National Executive committee meeting here on January 18. National Principal General Secretary of RJD Abdul Bari Siddiqui said here on Saturday that on the directive of party president Lalu Prasad, a National Executive Committee meeting of RJD had been convened in Patna on January 18. A number of issues including latest political situation in the state and at national level would be discussed during the meeting, he added. As it is, Lalu had invited Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on January 1 to join Grand Alliance again and work together. He was prepared to forgive all misdeeds and mistakes of Nitish if he returned to Grand Alliance again, the RJD Chief had declared. His son and leader of the opposition in Bihar assembly Tejaswi Prasad Yadav had, however, tried to downplay the offer, saying Lalu was just trying to calm down the heat generated by media persons on the issue.
