Wardha, Apr 2 (Reporter) NCP (SP) chief Sharad Pawar on Tuesday asserted that upcoming Lok Sabha elections is very important to preserve the fundamental rights enshrined in the Constitution. Addressing a meeting here before filing of nomination by Amar Kale, candidate of NCP (SP) on behalf of Maha Vikas Aghadi, he said, "We have to defeat the ideology that harms democracy, destroys fundamental rights, attacks the Constitution given by Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar and take care that the future of the people of this country will be right and for that this election is important." "Wardha is a historical land of freedom movement and was the place of residence of Mahatma Gandhi. What you and I have to do is to remember the message that has been given in this existence and to overcome whatever wrong tendencies there may be," added Pawar.
