Amaravati, Sep 24 (Reporter) Under the influence of cyclonic circulation over Central Bay of Bengal, a low-pressure area has been formed over Westcentral Bay of Bengal & adjoining Northwest Bay off north Andhra - south Odisha coasts, Meteorological Centre said on Tuesday.
A daily weather report here said that the associated cyclonic circulation extends up to 7.6 km above mean sea level tilting southwestwards with height.
The west Monsoon is active over Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam and Rayalaseema.
Heavy to very heavy rain will likely occur at isolated places in Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam during the next 24 hours.
Heavy rain is likely to occur in Rayalaseema during the next 24 hours and in Coastal Andhra Pradesh on September 25.
Thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and strong surface winds with speeds ranging from 30-40 Kmph are likely to occur at isolated places in North Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam during the next five days and in South Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema during the next three days.
Strong surface winds with speeds ranging from 30- 40 Kmph are likely to occur at isolated places in South Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema on September 27 and 28.
Light to moderate rain or thundershowers is likely to occur in most places or at a few places in Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam and Rayalaseema during the next seven days.
