LS election: Pappu Yadav files nomination from Bihar's Purnea as Independent

Purnea (Bihar), April 4 (Reporter) Former MP Rajesh Ranjan alias Pappu Yadav on Thursday filed his nomination papers from Purnea Lok Sabha seat as an Independent candidate. Yadav who had recently merged his Jan Adhikar Party (JAP) with Congress, was fed up with Purnea Lok Sabha seat, going into kitty of RJD , during seat sharing among constituents of INDIA bloc. Despite his repeated appeals, RJD chief Lalu Prasad did not spare Purnea seat for Congress, leaving no option for Yadav but to file his nomination papers as an Independent candidate. After filing his nomination papers, Yadav said that he had blessings of Congress and would work hard for better performance of constituents of INDIA bloc in other constituencies barring Siwan where he would support Heena Sahab, contesting as Independent candidate. Heena Sahab is wife of Mohammad Shahabuddin former MP who had immensely contributed to strengthen RJD. Shahbuddin died during Corona pandemic in Tihar jail where he was lodged in connection with several criminal cases pending against him. "I will go to campaign even for Misa Bharti and Rohini Acharya, daughters of RJD chief Lalu Prasad, contesting Lok Sabha elections from Patliputra and Saran seat respectively ", Pappu Yadav said adding that he was like son of Lalu. Both Misa and Rohini were like his sisters , he remarked. Yadav said that he would work hard for development of Purnea and prosperity of the people residing in the area. He would try for redressal of grievances of all sections of the society including youths, women, labourers, farmers and poor, the former MP assured. RJD, a close ally of Congress and constituent of INDIA bloc had fielded Beema Bharti as its candidate from Purnea. Congress will support RJD candidate Bharti in Purnea...////...
