Bengaluru, Apr 1 (Reporter) Union Home Minister Amit Shah will meet leaders of the BJP and JDS during his first campaign visit to Karnataka ahead of the Lok Sabha elections.
Shah will address a convention of BJP workers at Palace Grounds here, where around 5,000 workers are expected to participate, BJP MLA V Sunil Kumar told reporters on Monday.
Later, he will campaign for the BJP's candidate in Bengaluru Rural Dr CN Manjunath, who is the son-in-law of JDS supremo HD Deve Gowda.
The constituency will see a contest between Manjunath and Congress candidate DK Suresh, brother of Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar.
JDS leader HD Kumaraswamy will have a breakfast meeting with Shah to discuss election strategies for the coalition between his party and the BJP.
Shivakumar remarked earlier that Shah's visit to Channapatna aims to address tensions between the BJP and the JDS...////...
