Mumbai, Sep 30 (Reporter) Maharashtra's Amravati was hit by an earthquake of 4.2 magnitude on Monday afternoon, with no casualty being reported. The National Centre for Seismology (NCS), which is the nodal agency of the government of India that monitors earthquake activity in the country, informed. The quake struck the district at 1337 hours and tremors were felt at places in Chikaldhara, Katkumbh, Churni, Pachdongri talukas and Melghat area.
