Mumbai, Nov 25 (Reporter) Shiv Sena Yuva leader and MLA Aaditya Thackeray was elected as the Sena (UBT) Legislative Party Leader on Monday.
Speaking to media-persons here, Sena (UBT) Leader of Opposition in the Legislative Council, Ambadas Danve, said that Thackeray Junior will be the head of the party in the upper and lower houses of the Legislature.
Similarly, Bhaskar B Jadhav, a seven-time MLA, has been elected as the new Sena (UBT) Group Leader in the new Legislative Assembly, while Dindoshi’s three-time MLA Sunil Prabhu will be the new Chief Whip of the party.
The key appointments were made after a party meeting chaired by Sena (UBT) president and former chief minister Uddhav Thackeray at his home in the presence of all the 15 elected MLAs and other elected and organisational leaders.
In the 288-member Legislative Assembly, the MVA allies, which suffered a rout, managed to scrape through with a total of 48 seats, including the highest by Sena-UBT (20), Congress (16) and NCP-SP (10), plus one each of Communist Party of India (Marxist) and Peasants & Workers Party (PWP)...////...
