Mumbai, Nov 23 (Reporter) NCP (AP) president and Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar on Saturday attributed the party's and Mahayuti's success in the Maharashtra Assembly elections to people’s trust in development work done by the state government and to Narendra Modi and Amit Shah.
In a media statement issued here, he averred that the unprecedented success of the NCP (AP) and Mahayuti in the Maharashtra Assembly elections is a reflection of the people’s trust in the developmental work done by the Mahayuti government and the capable leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
He also credited the electoral win to the collective hard work of Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis as well as every representative and worker of the alliance partners over the last two and half years.
The credit for this success also goes to the government officials who ensured that schemes like ‘Ladki Bahin’ and others reached the beneficiaries, he said and expressed his gratitude to the voters for giving overwhelming support beyond expectations to Mahayuti candidates.
He especially thanked the 'Ladki Bahins' (dear sisters), acknowledging their significant contribution to the victory of Mahayuti candidates.
Pawar assured that to meet people’s hopes, aspirations and expectations, efforts would be made to give fair prices for agri produce, provide employment opportunities and self-employment for youths and make Maharashtra a leading state in all sectors such as agriculture, industry, trade, education, and cooperation.
He vowed to work tirelessly for Maharashtra’s welfare and to protect the interests of all sections of society.
The NCP (AP) chief also expressed his gratitude to PM Modi, Amit Shah, the central government and to colleagues in the outgoing state cabinet as well as all Mahayuti workers for their contribution.
The historical success of Mahayuti and the NCP in this election is a new chapter not only in the politics of Maharashtra but also at the national level, he noted.
This success reflects the trust and unity of farmers, labourers, women and youth in Maharashtra, he stated.
"The victory increases our responsibility manifold. It is a collective triumph of all sections of the state, including farmers, labourers, youth, women, workers, entrepreneurs and the underprivileged," he asserted.
