Maha: BJP nominates Ram Shinde for post of Chairman of Legislative Council

Nagpur, Dec 18 (Reporter) The BJP has announced the name of former minister Ram Shinde for the post of Chairman of the Maharashtra Legislative Council ahead of the election on Wednesday Whereas, the opposition Maha Vikas Aghadi has not nominated any candidate for the post. The election will be held today in the Legislative Council. Ram Shinde, who hails from Ahilyanagar (formerly Ahmednagar) district, was elected to the Legislative Assembly in 2014. He served as a minister in the Devendra Fadnavis-led ministry. In the 2019 and 2024 Assembly elections, he was defeated by NCP (SP) candidate Rohit Pawar from Karjat-Jamkhed constituency...////...
