Maha: CM inaugurates 'Advantage Vidarbha' festival in Nagpur

Nagpur, Feb 7 (Reporter) Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Friday inaugurated 'Advantage Vidarbha 2025 Khasdar Industrial Festival' here at the premises of Rashtrasant Tukdoji Maharaj Nagpur University, in presence of Union Minister Nitin Gadkari. Speaking on the occasion, he pointed out how Vidarbha is progressing in various sectors like tourism, industry and communication and the important event 'Advantage Vidarbha' will be at the centre of industrial sector in Vidarbha, he said. He said that all the districts of Vidarbha, including Gadchiroli, are creating an industrial environment and attracting investments. As a result, new industries are taking shape here and employment is also being created, he informed and said that this includes contracts worth Rs five lakh crore for Vidarbha and JSW Industry Group has signed investment contracts worth Rs three lakh crore in Gadchiroli. Along with Gadchiroli, Nagpur, Wardha, Chandrapur, battery manufacturing, solar energy, etc., projects will be set up, he said and expressed confidence that all the MoUs signed for Maharashtra in recently concluded World Economic Forum in Davos will come true. As investment is being made in Gadchiroli, where Asia's largest steel hub will be set up, erasing its identity as a Naxal-dominated district, he said adjacent Chandrapur, Bhandara, Gondia, Yavatmal districts will also benefit from investment in Gadchiroli. An airport will be constructed in Gadchiroli in near future, the Chief Minister said. Furthermore, a textile zone will come up in Amravati where the government will provide additional space to entrepreneurs, he said and pointed that through PM Mitra Park, the textile sector will be empowered. Also, the largest pilot training centre in Asia will be set up at Amravati, which will train 25,000 pilots every year, he said. Apart from this, a dry port will be constructed in Wardha district, he informed. Along with this, electronic bus hub and coal gasification system will be constructed at Chandrapur in next four years, he said. Furthermore, planning is in progress to make the link arrangement from Vidarbha to Kakinada with the cooperation of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, said Fadnavis. He also said that efforts are underway to make Navi Mumbai airport hub on the lines of Dubai airport hub and a parallel system will be created at Nagpur airport, he added...////...
