Mumbai, Feb 26 (Reporter) Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has paid emotional tributes to veteran singer Pankaj Udhas, expressing his feelings that the voice of ghazal, which resonated in the hearts of many generations, has become silent today.
Pankaj Udhas passed away in a private hospital here on Monday after prolonged illness.
In his condolence message, the Chief Minister said that through the evergreen ghazal 'Chitthi Aayi Hai..Chitthi Aayi...', Pankaj ji reigned supreme in the field of ghazal singing, capturing the hearts of many generations.
