Thane, Jan 27 (Reporter) Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde emphasised the importance of the Marathi language in promoting the country's culture, tradition, and history in Navi Mumbai.The courage and struggle of the Marathi people are widely recognised, and this is the foundation upon which a Marathi man grows up.Marathi Vishwa Sammelan-2024 brings Marathi people worldwide together, highlighting the Marathi language as a common thread that unites them.He addressed the inaugural function of the Marathi Viswa Sammelan-2024 at the CIDCO Exhibition Center in Navi Mumbai.Several prominent figures, including Marathi Language and School Education Minister Deepak Kesarkar, Rural Development Minister Girish Mahajan, MLA Manda Mhatre, and Marathi Language Department Additional Chief Secretary Ravindra Shobhane, were present.The Marathi language fortnight, organised to boost its significance, was successfully concluded.'The Marathi language is gaining popularity, and it is crucial to influence the younger generation's preference for it. Marathi writers should understand the language of today's generation and create literature that reflects their love for the language,' he said.
