Pune, Aug 28 (Reporter) Maharashtra Congress spokesperson Gopaldada Tiwari on Wednesday blamed Prime Minister Narendra Modi for collapse of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj's statue at Rajkot fort in Malvan of Sindhudurg district. The collapse of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj's statue on the Rajkot Fort, which was unveiled by the Prime Minister himself eight months ago, is 'shameful', he said. He noted that it is a very shameful and reprehensible incident that has hurt the identity of Maharashtra. The Congress leader also demanded a thorough judicial inquiry into the Maharashtra government's Art Directorate's approval for the statue unveiled by Modi eight months ago. He wondered how the identity of Maharashtra will be protected from the tripartite government.
