Pune, Sep 21 (Reporter) Vice president of Maharashtra Congress Mohan Joshi has filed a police complaint against BJP leader Tarvinder Singh Marwah, Minister of State for Railways Ravneet Bittu and Shiv Sena Shinde Group legislator Sanjay Gaikwad for hate speeches and issuing death threats against Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi, a party leader said on Saturday.
Talking to reporters after filing the complaint and seeking registration of a first information report (FIR), Joshi said that leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party and its allies were deliberately spreading false news and propaganda against Gandhi.
An offence of disturbing public peace in Maharashtra has been committed by them, he said.
BJP leader Marwah allegedly threatened to kill Rahul Gandhi while delivering speech at a public event on September 11, Joshi alleged.
"He committed a serious crime by broadcasting the video on X social media. It is a serious offence under Section 351, 352, and 61 of the BNS Act, " Joshi alleged.
He said Minister Ravneet Bittu, while giving an interview to media on September 15, committed serious offences by saying "Rahul Gandhi Terrorist Hai, Desh ka Bada Dushman Hai (Rahul Gandhi is a terrorist and country's enemy)".
Maharashtra legislator Sanjay Gaikwad of Shiv Sena Shinde group announced on September 16 that he would give a reward of Rs 11 lakh to any person who cuts the tongue of Rahul Gandhi for making anti-reservation remarks, Joshi alleged.
"On the basis of the written information given by me, an FIR should be immediately registered against the accused and legal action should be taken against the guilty, " said Joshi...////...
